Part of the Brewing Beer In The Buckeye State series, Brewing Beer In The Queen City, Volume 1 gives a pictorial history of the six major breweries that stood on McMicken Avenue in Cincinnati's Over-The-Rhine District. With over 350 color images, the histories of the Jackson, Sohn/Clyffside, Lafayette, Hudepohl, Schmidt/Crown, and Bellevue breweries are discussed in detail. Although brewing last took place on the street in 1957, most of the breweries are still standing today, and some of their Nineteenth Century underground cellars can be toured on a regular basis.
