Part of the Brewing Beer In The Buckeye State series, Brewing Beer In The Queen City, Volume II gives a pictorial history of the Lion Brewery, which was in business along the Miami and Erie Canal (later Central Parkway) from 1866 to 1973. Operated by three different companies (Windisch-Muhlhauser, Lion, and Burger) through its history, the plant produced the largest total quantity of beer in Cincinnati's history. Its most well-known product, Burger Beer, remains in production today, 78 years after it first appeared shortly after Prohibition's end. More than 430 images, most in color, help tell the story!
