Part of the Brewing Beer In The Buckeye State series, Brewing Beer In The Queen City, Volume V gives a pictorial history of the breweries that operated in Cincinnati's downtown area (including Over-The-Rhine) from 1806 to 1940. While the largest of these (Moerlein, Windisch-Muhlhauser, and Hauck) were covered in the first four volumes of this series, this book focuses on smaller yet significant companies such as Walker, Gambrinus, Schaller, Gerke, Jung, Wetterer, Foss-Schneider, and numerous others. The spiral-bound book contains nearly 300 images of people, buildings, floor plans, labels, signs, and you-name-it (most in color) to help tell the story.
